Aouar offered to Manchester United for €44m

On the back of an impressive start to life at the Stade de Lyon, French sensation, Aouar, has been offered to Manchester United for £44m.

The club academy graduate was thrown into the mix during the 2017/18 season due to the departure of Corentin Tolliso to Bayern Munchen.

In his first season with Les Gones, Aouar racked up seven goals and six assists across all competitions.

A season later, he produced a similar tally across 44 appearances for the club.

With club president, Jean Michel Aulas, recently admitting to Le Progres (via the Daily Express) that Lyon are willing to sell the right player for the right price, Manchester United have been offered a chance to sign the French ace as he is seen as a possible replacement for Paul Pogba whose commitment continue to cause an up-stir within the club.

Like Pogba, He is often deployed on the left side of the midfield with a disposition for attack. This makes him very dangerous when he cuts in from the left towards goal.

This season, his shot accuracy is 44.8%, a big upgrade on the 28% expected for the average central midfielder.

He averages four touches per game in the opposition box.

However, Aouar is suspect defensively, completing only a third of his tackles. He also averages fewer than six recoveries per game

He is extremely technical, shows impressive dribbling skills with an eye for killer passes as 60% of his passes are forward and always get his teammates into promising positions.

There is no doubt the lad is talented and will develop into a top-class player over the next few seasons.
