Raul Jimenez has had his asking price slashed if he is to leave The Wanderers in the summer with Manchester United linked with a move.
Raul Jimenez has been one of the key performers for the Wolves side. Since joining Wolves for a club-record fee he has racked 22 goals and 10 assists for the Nuno Espirito’s side across all competitions.
According to Daily Star, Wolves are said to have changed their stance as Jimenez is now available for a mere £18 million.
Considering the quality of his performances during his time at the Molineux, this could work in United’s favor as Ighalo’s recently agreed deal lasts till January.
The 29-year-old has shown that he’s more than a flat track bully as he continues to deliver against the league’s elite sides.
His style of play clearly fulfills the desired criteria of having something different up top when the style of play turns direct.
The Mexican forward would also provide a fantastic focal point to the United attack and would be effective in a team with the likes of Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial.
United’s transfer strategy has been flawless under Solskjaer’s reign and, the thought of adding Jimenez to the squad is a pretty safe bet.
With Jimenez’s availability being a problem, as United will also have to fend off competition from the likes of Barcelona, Real Madrid, and Juventus.
He clearly is available to leave cheap, Jimenez is certainly the type of striker Solskjaer should be looking at in the summer.
